CRITERIA:

South African born and bred musicians, whether still residing within the borders

of the Republic of South Africa or at present residing in another country​

 

Original work / musical composition is of the essence and not negotiable​

​

All artists, must be the legal owner/s of the musical compositions entered​

 

No musical composition, where AI (artificial intelligence) forms the core of

the content, will be favorably considered as an entry​

 

Only musical composition with either one of the eleven (11) recognized

languages of the Republic of South Africa, may be entered for consideration.

METHODOLOGY:

​

A fortnightly RSA hit parade will be presented every second week on www.radiosuidafrika.co.za

 

Fortnightly on Tuesday nights 20:00 – 22:00 CAT

 

Listeners can vote online on https://strawpoll.com/40Zm4arp4ga from 

Tuesdays 22:00 CAT until the second Sunday night after the show at 23:59 CAT

​

A rebroadcast of the weeks show will be aired on the 1st Monday after

the show from 18:00 CAT

 

Polls will be closed on the 2nd Sunday after the show and re-open at 23:00 CAT,

on the following Monday

 

Online voting close at midnight every relevant Sunday for the results to

be processed and published online on all the relevant social media platforms

All entries, as fortnightly on the RSA HITPARADE TOP 20 list, will be on

the auto playlist on Radio South Africa and will also be available as

a REQUEST PLAY on www.radiosuidafrika.co.za

​

All information on the RSA Hit Parade will be weekly promoted on all

social media platforms by all the collaborative partners

​

RULES:

​

All entries will be evaluated by an appointed panelists to ensure conformity to standards and rules    

​

A majority vote by panelists will ensure the success of a submission

 

Only one song per artist allowed at a time, no double entries allowed

​

All new entries will enter onto the TOP  20 in the 21-23 bracket and replace songs

not voted for in the previous top 20 songs for a consecutive week

 

Any entry failing to reach the TOP 20 list in two weeks consecutively

will be eliminated and not be re-entered for the year

​

​​Any hat trick (3 consecutive weeks in No 1 position) will be eliminated

and can be replaced with another song.
